CNC prototyping and laser cutting services
Our prototyping services are a quick and efficient way to produce high quality parts and prototypes from software models into successful products for your hobby or business.
What is CNC machining?
CNC machining is a manufacturing process in which a pre-programmed software controls the movement of factory tools and machinery. The process can be used to command a range of complex machinery, from grinders and lathes to mills and routers. With CNC machining, three-dimensional cutting tasks can be achieved in a single set of prompts.
Computer numerical control commonly called CNC is the process where live operators are needed to prompt and guide the commands of machining tools via levers, buttons and wheels. To the viewer, a CNC system might resemble a regular set of computer components, but the software programs and consoles employed in CNC machining differentiate it from all other forms of computation.
What is laser cutting?
Laser cutting uses a high-power laser which is directed through optics and computer numerical control (CNC) to direct the beam or material. Usually, the process uses a motion control system to follow a CNC or G-code of the pattern that is to be cut onto the material. The focused laser beam burns, melts, vaporises or is blown away by a jet of gas to leave a high-quality surface finished edge.
The laser beam is produced by the stimulation of lasing materials through electrical discharges or lamps inside a closed container. The lasing material is magnified by being reflected internally via a partial mirror until its energy is enough for it to escape as a stream of coherent monochromatic light. This light is focused at the work area by mirrors or fibre optics that direct the beam through a lens which intensifies it.
We’re proud to offer CNC machining and laser cutting services to our South East Queensland clients.
